Mark Handelman, Chair, is a retired executive and commercial real estate broker currently involved in real estate investments. Mark serves on the boards of St. Clare's Hospital, United Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York and the Daughters of Sarah Senior Community Foundation. His many volunteer commitments include hands-on activities as a volunteer reading coach at Paige Elementary School and a patient-family volunteer with Community Hospice, where he served as president of the board.
Cornelia Hume's volunteer activities and part-time work keep her deeply involved in the Schenectady community. Her dedication has enriched the Schenectady Museum, the Annie Schaffer Senior Center, Schenectady Girls Club and the Schenectady County Community College. She is a board member of Schenectady Girls Club, Proctor's Theatre, Old Songs and the Lake Pleasant/Sacandaga Association. She was awarded the Dewitt Clinton Masonic Award for Outstanding Community Service.
Dr. Grace Jorgensen is synonymous with women's health in the Capital Region. She was the director and owner of Bellevue Woman's Hospital from 1959 to 2001. She is also founder of Woman's HealthCare Group, LLC and Bellevue Woman's Health, and established The Bellevue Research Foundation, Inc. in 1991.
Thomas O. Maggs is president of Maggs & Associates, a business insurance brokerage located in Schenectady. Dr. Walter L. Robb retired after leading the GE Research & Development Center in Niskayuna. Robb's decisions to pursue more advanced CT and MRI designs permitted GE to dominate both modalities in a highly competitive battle. Retired, Dr. Robb is now active as a mentor, board member and investor in start-up companies. He is co-founder of U-Start, Schenectady's high-tech incubator and is on the boards of the Schenectady Museum and Proctor's Theatre. Also important to him is his work with the Double H Ranch, a camp for seriously ill children.
