Foundation Announces 2015 Grant Program

Coming off its Golden Anniversary year and record investment in the community, The Schenectady Foundation today announced that it would make $1.3 million available for charitable programs in Schenectady County in 2015.  The Foundation will focus its resources in those programs that can substantively demonstrate positive results for the people and communities of Schenectady County, NY.

The Foundation anticipates approving 10 - 16 grants of various amounts, and covering a spectrum of projects that address community priorities.

 

The grant program will place priority on programs aligned with the Foundation's Strengthening Families strategy, as well as established initiatives in which it has already invested including:  Schenectady Bridges Partnership, Bigelow Corners Partnership, Bridges to Youth -- A Call to Action for Schenectady's Youth, Strong Families Schenectady, and UMATTER Schenectady.
