The Schenectady Foundation Arts Fund
How It All Started

The Schenectady Foundation established the Arts Fund in response to a bequest from donor Paul Hooker. In his estate, Hooker directed $322,000 to be used to promote the arts. His gift enabled the establishment of a dedicated source of funding for community-accessible arts programs.
When you contribute to the Arts Fund, you are investing in more than performances or exhibitions. You are investing in creativity, education, inclusion, and a more connected community.
This Summer We Are Supporting:
The Impact
Quality arts programs are too often vulnerable to funding cuts at a time when inflation is driving up their costs. Your contribution will directly support local creatives in dire need of assistance.
Your support allows us to continue to deliver high-quality arts oppurtunities, such as appearences of Brazilian violinist Nathan Amaral at Mont Pleasant Middle School, offering a free concert to students.
