EMERGENT NEEDS

Impact Statement: Schenectady County residents are supported by projects that are responsive to new or emergent needs.

Our Emergent Needs funding pathway supports organizations responding to new or unexpected challenges affecting Schenectady County residents. This allows the Foundation to remain responsive to evolving community needs and emerging issues.

Since launching the Emergent Needs grant program in 2019, the Foundation has funded 44 projects totaling over $3.6 million in support for community organizations.

Past grants have supported initiatives addressing food access, housing stability, public health needs, and other urgent community challenges.
